World Nomads 2016 Travel Writing Scholarship

Hi again to all of you gorgeous people! This past week, I submitted my entry to the World Nomads 2016 Travel Writing Scholarship, in the 11th hour, of course. I wanted to take a moment to share with you my entry piece, but I want to give you a little background information first. Also, I will likely tell a slightly more detailed version of this as I’m writing through my time in South Asia. I shared a row on my KLM…

Don’t Date a Girl Who Travels (Re-blog)

Don’t Date a Girl Who Travels (Re-blog)

A post originally on Love the Search by Adi Zarsadias Commentary in RED by Yours Truly, to tailor it to my travel life. . . She’s the one with the messy unkempt hair colored by the sun. Her skin is now far from fair like it once was. Not even sun-kissed. It’s burnt with multiple tan lines, wounds and bites here and there.  But for every flaw on her skin, she has an interesting story to tell. (Sometimes, she’s still pale, especially if…

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Leaving on a Jet Plane

It’s here! It’s finally here! Last week I hit my 10% at Weight Watchers. This week I’m leaving for almost a month abroad in Europe. A little over a week in Yorkshire/London with Stephanie and the loveliest bebe, Annabelle. Two additional weeks between Germany, Czech Rep, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. I have been so excited that I haven’t really slept in about 3 days. Tomorrow, I fly out. 17 hours in transit. I’ll see you guys when I get back….

The AB is a naturally occurring phenomena that causes a light display in the sky, particularly in the high latitude…

A Broad, Abroad

A Broad, Abroad

I’m going overseas again in about five months and I am so ding-dang excited that I can hardly focus on anything else! I booked all of my flights, and hotels and such on 9/22, spending a VAST sum of money in about 2 hours. It hurt. Bad. The fun part was: September 22 was five months, to the day, before I leave. I feel like I am a little weird about travelling. I could not care less about finding a…

Charming Creepers Internationally + Whole Wheat Pancakes

Charming Creepers Internationally + Whole Wheat Pancakes

Okay!! So! It’s finally time for me to start sharing stories from my trip! My very best friend, Ashley Arnold, and I spent two weeks overseas in Great Britain and Ireland. It was ABSOLUTELY incredible!! The architecture alone was just completely mind-blowing. It seemed like everything over there was at least 400 years old. Scotland was the most breath-taking place I’ve ever seen. I mean, the stone walls, hills, farms, and, I guess, just the vastness of it was just…
